Modern IT systems have become commonplace in all medical areas. The visual presentation of therapeutic measures is a decisive factor in this development. As a result of the Medical Products Act, displays that are deployed directly in a patient environment are subject to strict DIN EN 60601 standards. Amongst other things, this ensures increased electrical safety. Direct use of office displays is not allowed in a patient environment as there are usually different safety standards for power supply. Wortmann AG provides LCD monitors for these sensitive areas of deployment, which are run on extra low safety voltage of 12V. Hence, they can be utilised as the ideal accessory in the patient environment.
